The success of the first awards ceremony means that these events will become a fixture for the logistics sector in the South for a long time to come.\n<\/p>\n<h2>\n\tBut let&rsquo;s take a look at the winners!<br \/>\n<\/h2>\n<p>\n\tBriggs Equipment UK sponsored the Innovation Award, which was won by <strong>Palletline<\/strong>.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<strong>Norbert Dentressangle<\/strong> took home the first Multimodal Award, sponsored by Potter Logistics.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<a href=\"http:\/\/www.freshlogistics.co.uk\/\"><strong>Fresh logistics<\/strong><\/a> came away with the Operations (SME) award.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe Safety award went home with <strong>Babcock International Devonport<\/strong>, and the New\/Startup Facility award went to <strong>Vantec Europe<\/strong>.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<strong>Wiley\/Storage Aspects\/Chichester Haulage<\/strong> won the Warehouse Efficiency Award, <strong>Europa Worldwide<\/strong> were given the Improvement award, and the Corporate Responsibility Award went to a little-known grocer called <strong>Marks &amp; Spencer<\/strong>. I predict big things from them.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<strong>Barfoots of Botley<\/strong> took home the Environment\/Sustainability Award, and <strong>Molson Coors\/TVS<\/strong> won the Operations (Large) award.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tThe editor&rsquo;s award went to <strong>Partner Logistics<\/strong>, and the overall winner, chosen from the eleven category winners, was <strong>Marks &amp; Spencer<\/strong>. See, I told you they would be big.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tAfter a lovely three-course dinner prepared by the Mayfair Hotel&rsquo;s catering staff, comedian Miles Jupp was emceed the ceremony itself, giving out the awards and keeping the crowd entertained. Following the awards, the delegates and attendees mingled in the Mayfair&rsquo;s foyer to network and gamble a bit at the casino tables set up for the event &ndash; all for charity of course.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tIn all, the evening raised &pound;1595 for charity that night, and gave some of the leading lights of the logistics sector the recognition they deserve. I&rsquo;m looking forward to next year&rsquo;s ceremonies already.
